El una conferencia realizada hoy en Jeddah, Arabia Saudita, el secretario del Tesoro, Timothy Geithner, reafirmó el compromiso de EE.UU. de defender al dólar y su rol como divisa de referencia mundial. Atentos que luego de conocerse los resultados de las ventas minoristas y los precios de la producción en el país americano, la tendencia fue al alza para el billete verde, descontando las perspectivas previas sobre un incremento en el apetito por el riesgo. Igualmente, observamos que el par EUR/USD recupera parte de las pérdidas registradas y se negocia próximo a la cota de los 1.4000 dólares por euro.
